Title "Stay a while"
"The darkness asked her to stay a while, to roam the familiar spaces she herself had built, labyrinthine and coded. It was a welcome invitation, as she recognized the streets and corners, no longer foreign but painted with her past passions. Each road, though rocky and often bloodied, held the echoes of her fervent desire to be loved and embraced, to be more than captivating intrigue in another's gaze.
The tears were familiar visitors, finding their way to the depths of her being. They beckoned her into spaces she recognized, spaces with doors she knew she had to open. Misery, anger, frustration, and thoughts of revenge welcomed her like old friends, but her true heart knew none of those emotions. Deep down, she held the mantras of hope and transformation close.
With a heaviness in her belly, she decided to release the binds that held her hostage. She let go of the emotions that, though familiar, were not truly hers. She surrendered to something new and embarked on a different path, one that seemed to materialize beneath her feet.
'You could stay here,' whispered the mind. 'No, my love,' replied the soul. 'We must release the old, and though trembling, we shall take our seat in power.'"
